Product Information
Light and strong, the Atomic Backland Summit 12 BR is an all-round touring binding designed for committed skier tourers who crave adventure on every type of terrain. Unique to the binding is a Release Value Adjustment that offers release values up to 12 for trustworthy operation, superior safety, and performance. The AutoFlex System features a spring in the heel mechanism that automatically provides 5mm of travel between the toe and heel during the arc of a turn. The result is an easy-to-use binding that provides elasticity to support the natural ski flex while increasing absorption and improving safety. The Patented Step-in Aid guides the boot perfectly into position while a Climbing Aid easily adjusts to 0 degree, 7 degree or 13 degree with a simple flick of ski pole. Touring brakes feature a unique lock system that switches easily from hike to ski mode. The Alu/PA Pin Toe and Heel use a high-performance PA material that's reinforced with fiberglass to keep the binding lightweight for climbing, yet strong and reliable for the down.
